Job Summary
The person is tasked with making sure that the Front Office – the place where guests first come into contact with the hotel and staff, runs smoothly and effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties
Ensuring the front desk provides a professional and friendly service for guests
Dealing with guests
Arranging staff scheduling
The Front Office is the area of the hotel where guests form their first and last impressions of the hotel – this makes it really important to work hard to create a pleasant experience for guests to ensure their return.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
There are no minimum educational requirements to become a front office executive. Workers in this field can also hold a high school diploma and receive on-the-job training from their employer. A resume displaying computer competency, especially with Microsoft Office products, will help catch the eyes of hiring managers
Because the nature of their position involves so much contact with the public, front office executives need to be good representatives of their organization. They must possess a friendly and upbeat demeanor, dress professionally, and act courteously. Other attributes include:
