Team Leader – HR Shared Service

Duties & responsibilities

Provide leadership support and guidance to team members
Ensure Timeliness, Accuracy & SLA is achieved consistently
Manage the flow of day-to-day operations
Handle escalations from employees, HRs and other stakeholders
Responsible for managing managerial/management expectations, including those of senior business leaders and HR
Lead team in daily huddles, meetings and governance reviews
Lead improvements on key operational metrics and reporting
Audit the Key/Critical HR transactions processed by team as defined in the Quality framework
Demonstrate high proficiency in HR processes and standard operating procedures with ability to resolve complex queries wrt process and systems
Monitor team performance and work on the low performing employees
Accountable for setting team performance expectations, reinforcing goals, regular providing coaching and feedback on performance
Conducts training sessions and prepares training aids for team
Proactively leads team to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline information and processes, improve accuracy, and strengthen controls to achieve annual productivity goals
Discover training needs and provide coaching. Encourage creativity within team and motivate team members
Inspiring team environment with an open communication culture & teamwork
Act as a backup for assistant manager by proactively taking the ownership as and when situation warrants
Planning of resources and ensure proper and equitable work allocation
Review process documentation by working closely with HR partners/teams
Remain updated on all Client Communications and Changes in the process areas and keep the team updated
Discuss and devise a 30-60-90 Day action plan with direct reports and track the progress
Work towards capacity building to ensure there are contingency plans in place for people & process
Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments
Effectively lead and develop a shared services team & succession planning or roadmap for team & self
Managing payroll related reports in HR systems(Only for Payroll specific roles)
Creating Payroll Calendar and managing payroll activities as per the defined payroll calendar (Only for Payroll specific roles)
Managing payroll queries from employees (Only for Payroll specific roles)
Co-ordination with payroll vendors/local HR’s (Only for Payroll specific roles)
Hands on experience on pre payroll processing and post payroll activities (Only for Payroll specific roles)
