Job Title – Lead - Software Engineering (TS-6)

The Purpose of This Role
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer with expertise and experience in designing and developing applications including new developments, enhancements, maintenance and support. The role involves continuous collaboration with partners, iterative understanding of requirements, following Fidelity best practices / methodologies, thorough understanding of the technology roadmap, advancement to design / development process.

Designing and developing applications for the Digital experience team. You will work directly with Product Architects, Product Owner, Scrum Master and development resources across our team, as well as other technical and business stakeholders across the organization in a SCRUM Distributed Agile environment.
You will be responsible for designing and hands-on development of enterprise-scale applications that support customer self-service and system to system integration utilizing established and emerging technologies and vendor products.
You will be performing multiple roles i.e. analysis, development, QA testing and should be willing to learn new technologies. The Skills that are Key to this role Technical

The ideal candidate should have
A passion for technology and the financial domain with demonstrated ability to learn quickly
Design, develop, and deploy Android applications using the Android SDK, Java, XML, Gradle, and Android Studio
6+ years of software engineering expertise including 8+ years of developing Android apps
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Strong Java & XML development skills
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
A knack for benchmarking and optimization
Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Familiarity with continuous integration
Experience with Android Studio and Gradle toolkits
Open-source library expertise e.g. OkHttp, Retrofit, RxJava
Experience with Android test frameworks e.g. Espresso, Robolectric
Clean Architecture knowledge is mandatory with issues in different Architecture patterns.
Knowledge of Kotlin is also welcome.
Expertise in Jenkins, Sonar, and general CI/CD concepts a plus
Financial services technology expertise is a plus Behavioral
