Job brief
The Accounts Assistant will provide support to the Finance Manager and wider finance team by helping to prepare financial statements, accounts, budgets, processing invoices and preparing VAT returns.
Accounts Assistant is also a key member of the finance team who is responsible for the finalization of month-end and year-end accounts.
? Assisting the finance department and senior accounting staff members with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records, and statements.
? Verifying financial statements, ledgers and accounts and making corrections where ever appropriate.
? Preparing profit and loss accounts sheets. GST, TDS and PT returns filing.
? Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
? Assisting in Import & Export Shipments.
? Completing bank reconciliations, purchase orders & manage pay roll, company ledgers.
? Entering financial information into appropriate software programs.
? Coordinating internal and external audits.
? Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies.
? Managing day-to-day transactions and recording office expenditures.
? Assisting in preparing annual budgets.
? Completing the year-end analysis.
? Reporting on debtors and creditors.
? Handling accruals and prepayments.
? Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods.
? Handling Stores and Purchases, verifying vendor invoices.
? Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
? Maintain files and electronic records.
? Perform administrative tasks as needed.

? MS Office proficient with good accounting software skills.
