Job Description


***This position will be required to float to all facilities to provide support where needed.***
RESPONSIBILITIES:


Provide phone coverage in a respectful, professional, and courteous manner
Greet, check in, and schedule patients’ appointments
Collection of Co-pays, and patient account payments, along with balancing your individual collections
Assist patients in completing sliding scale as necessary
Communicate with patients, peers and colleagues in a respectful, professional and courteous manner
Assist in maintaining electronic health records according to medical record standards, regulations and agency policy
Document all interactions with patients in accordance with CARF and agency policy
Provide administrative support to the office such as scanning, emailing, faxing, and mailing
Maintain your work environment in a clean and organized manner
Participate in all assigned staff meetings, trainings and staff development programs
Follow HIPPA laws pertaining to patient rights and confidentiality
Participate in all assigned, post discharge surveys, record completeness review, intake reports or other QA and utilization review activities
Complete other duties and tasks as may be assigned by your supervisor


MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:


High school or GED, Associate Degree preferred
1+ year Medical Office experience
Strong time management and prioritization skills with ability to multi-task.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Sense of urgency and responsiveness and customer service orientation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude and willingness to assist all levels of staff
Ability and desire to learn
Adaptable to changing priorities

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:


Dexterity sufficient to operate a PC and other office equipment.
Requires extended periods of standing, walking or sitting.
Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds.
Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk and listen both in person and while using the phone for extended periods.
