Job Summary
Sales Manager - Key Responsibilities
Achievement of primary and secondary sales targets and growth objectives
Create and implement effective direct sales strategies and lead direct sales personnel (sales and clinical education staff) toward achievement of sales objectives.
Ensure efficient execution of demand generation programmes to increase market share/ and consumer base and maximize per capita
Collections/Management of reporting documents from field sales force
Forecasting accuracy for Sales and Inventory planning/control
Build a motivated and committed sales & clinical team thru a culture of achievement orientation, recognition and reward
Implementation of CRM and HCP engagement plans in conjunction with marketing team
Will need to work in tandem with the peer sales and application specialist in driving combined targets and implementing merchandising initiatives
Proactively identify changes in healthcare, delivery systems, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
Partner with the Manager – Corporate and Strategic Accounts in the development of key customer relationship management.
Negotiate purchase agreements with the assistance of Hospital/ Blood Bank Account Managers.
Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Finance, Logistic, Customer Service, Manufacturing team etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
Organize & attend clinical meetings, seminars, blood donation camps, patient educations program and zonal conferences as appropriate.
Collect & maintain all sales record/ customer list/ blood bank list/ sales & stock statements, state wise, territory wise
Provide weekly update to Zonal Manager on territory wise product wise sales, patients implant, surviving patients list
Achieves regional sales operational objectives by working with team member & meeting customers, contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans & implementing them, develop high customer-service standards by working with them & resolving problems; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing and achieving weekly, monthly & annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions for each team member.
Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for area incharge in support of national objectives.
Conduct regular group focus meeting with HCL to increase market share of company products
Participate & manage annual customer conference in their region to derived high returns
Maintains and expands customer base by counselling HCM/ Application specialist and building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
Implements trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading
