Job Summary :
Commis Chef basic requisites are passion for food and curiosity and eagerness to learn. Commis chef may come right from a culinary school or has already hand-on practical experiences. He also need to be versatile; to gain experience in all sections of the kitchen, cold, hot & various cuisines. He possesses the physical & mental stamina, able to work under pressure in a high-paced environment. Work conditions are often associated with high temperature and humidity. Perform various kitchen activities, such as "mise en place", pre preps, assisting Chef de Parties in cooking, receiving supplies and rotating stocks. Cleaning of kitchen equipment may also be undertaken by the Commis chef, including maintaining at all times a high standard of personal hygiene and kitchen sanitization. Work collectively with other team members.
Duties & Responsibilities-
All workstations are stocked with food supplies required for the shift operation.
Proper mise en place at pre prep stations in accordance with production requirement for the meal
Perform all pre prep tasks and maintained controls for minimum wastage
Checks supplies and prep lists and ensures all items are stocked
Assist chef de partie in cooking the food as per defined standard recipes and menu
Cook food in accordance to standard recipes and quality standards
Checks supplies and prep lists and ensures all items are stocked for next meal
Store all products are properly in the correct location for smooth operation.
Perform basic cleaning tasks and ensure that all workstations, cooking stations and food storage areas are properly cleaned and sanitized after operation
Operate and cleaned the kitchen equipment as per instructions.
Work with team members collectively and support new team members.
Adhere to personal hygiene and grooming standards.
Participate in all schedule training sessions.
Adherence to company policies and procedures.

Job Duties:
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
Restock items as needed throughout the shift
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
