Job Summary
We are young and innovative startup company working in the field of IoT Product and platform development based in Ahmedabad. We are looking for Purchase Manager actively experienced in a supply chain and field ensuring cost-effective purchase of all materials and services as required by the procurement plan whilst ensuring quality control and compliance with the Company's policies and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Manage the purchasing process including the buying, selling and distributions aspects of the company
· Smooth handling of Electrical Material Purchase - Payment Cycle Optimization
· Comply with Service level agreements and penalty calculations
· Review new project proposals for the company
· Analyze existing purchasing processes for performance
· Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems
· Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers.
· Maintain Warranty Replacement and Repair from Vendor
· Identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability
· Proven history of developing effective inventory management policies required and for inventory optimization
· Maintain procurement files including all relevant documentation and vendor tracking system s/he will maintain all the relevant information concerning the organization’s suppliers;
· Active involvement for regular electrical material delivery follow up and optimization
· Regular Practice of Operational and functional logistics and commerce of electrical goods/products.
· Excellent cross-cultural communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills demonstrated by ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, stakeholders, clients.
· Maintain a good rapport with the company's clientele
Qualifications and Skills
· Prior experience working in the purchasing department in the same industry required
· Strong knowledge of Supply chain and Logistics management required
· Excellent verbal and written commercial communication skills
· Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends
· Working knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry
· Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport
· Positive and professional demeanor
· Excellent verbal and written commercial communication skills
· Flexible to travel and work long hours as necessary
· Efficient in developing more effective invoicing and collecting processes
· Knowledge of import/export is bonus
