Job Description

Title: Assistant Manager - SSC
Reports to: Manager : MAT
Based at: Indore
Job purpose : Responsible for the management of all activity completed by a management accounting team to deliver the defined Radius. management accounting services to the assigned external clients and internal customers. Manage the team and review all output, ensuring that a high standard of customer care and service is delivered and maintained so that all service deliverables are achieved to the defined quality standard and on schedule. Be a point of contact for a portfolio of clients to provide a complete service to clients, focused on client satisfaction and quality within agreed time/cost budgets. Assist in identifying and, once approved, implementing process and service improvements. As required assist with service delivery including, data entry, cash management, payroll, monthly reporting and accounts and complete, manage and review other ad-hoc work as required.
Responsibilities and accountabilities
Management accounting and bookkeeping
1. Complete awareness of and responsibility for all service deliverables for the assigned clients and the billing implications of all/any work completed.
2. A full understanding of all relevant internal processes and procedure documentation.
3. Complete familiarity with the use of all systems involved in completing the required work.
4. Oversee the scheduling of all work to be completed by the team as part of the defined standard client deliverables for the team clients portfolio to achieve quality standards and deadlines.
5. Oversee the scheduling of any additional ad hoc work to be completed by the team to achieve the required quality standards and deadlines.
6. Ensure open communication within the team through regular team or individual meetings as required. Create a team based culture.
7. Allocate work appropriately throughout the team to achieve the most efficient and effective use of all available resources to complete all required work to achieve quality standards and deadlines.
8. Complete monthly/quarterly review of all output from the team as required. This must included reviewing all management accounts and putting in place appropriate checks and controls to ensure the work done by all team members is as required.
9. Assist with internal audit programs to ensure management account operate effectively and with technical quality and competence
10. Ensure all client employees’ changes request s(i.e. joiners, leavers etc) are recorded in a timely manner on HR.net as the only primarily record.
11. Ensure all other records are fully updated as required.
12. Identify and suggest continuous improvement opportunities to reduce repetitious work and improve the efficiency of current process and procedures.
13. Ensure that all payments to employees and vendors are completed accurately and on time.
14. Should be flexible to take extra work to support team delivery and client satisfaction as required.

1. Use a coaching/mentoring approach to improve the skills and knowledge of all team members.
2. Ensure all team members attend all required training and development programs.
3. Reinforce new learning within the team.
4. Research technical issues liaising with affiliates as appropriate.
