Job Title: HR Business Partner (Senior Manager), India
Role:
The role holder is accountable for acting as the primary HR interface with the business, contracting with Centres of Expertise and other HR colleagues around the provision of technical and hands-on delivery support, but taking ultimate accountability for HR’s effective delivery to the business area. The role works primarily with the senior business leadership team, managing the HR relationship with the business area and challenging, supporting and adding value to the business in pursuit of their objectives and overall Group strategy. In addition to strategic support, the role also has a critical role to play in terms of undertaking ‘Delivery Expert’ as well as a ‘Risk and Control’ type activities, as articulated within this profile. The role holder may have a number of Managerial level HRBPs reporting into them.
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) role exists to support the effective delivery of HR services, partnering with the business to develop appropriate strategies (people plans) and work through business issues. The role will identify how the HR function can help the business to harness their people resources to effectively deliver business objectives. The ultimate aim is to partner with the business to drive optimal business performance, by putting the appropriate people initiatives in place; leadership, talent, capabilities, structures etc, The Senior HRBP role will typically face off to a larger business Division (e.g. one which has several large sub-divisions), which has a more complex business agenda. The Senior HRBP role will also typically play a role as part of the India HR Leadership Team.

Your Responsibilities:
‘Partner’ with the business: help shape and challenge business strategy. Take ultimate accountability for HR’s delivery against business objectives within business area(s)
Lead the design (and challenge) the people plan, and ensure alignment with business and Group strategy within their business area(s). Drive people plan outcomes – employee engagement, capability, effective organisation structure etc. Manage Stakeholder relationships at the business leadership team level
‘Sponsor’ HR projects and activities within their business area(s) and pan-India. Manage risk, including oversight of the business in terms of adherence to governance procedures and regulatory compliance (people-related)
Maximise use of HR delivery resource, and line up delivery across businesses and with other Divisions to maximise economies of scale. Engage with and relationship manage the business leadership team(s) (both locally and globally)
Partner with the business to develop and deliver their people plans, including change programmes, to optimise the contribution of employees in both the short and long term, and ensure that people solutions add value to the business strategy; oversee peop
